F.No.3/6/2018- P&P-II: Staff Selection Commission will hold an open competitive Examination for recruitment of Junior Engineers (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) for various Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. The posts are Group „B‟ (Non-Gazetted), in Level- 6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of pay matrix of 7 th Central Pay Commission.

(b) Two years experience in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.

8 Junior Engineer (Quantity Surveying & Contracts), MES Three years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognized Institute/ University/ Board or equivalent;

or

(i) Passed Intermediate examination in Buildings and Quantity Surveying Sub-Division-II of the Institute of Surveyors (India).

Scheme of Examination

The Examination will consist of two Papers i.e. Paper-I (Computer Based Examination) and Paper-II (Descriptive Type). Details of these Papers are as follows:

2 Hours (2 hours and 40 minutes for the candidates who are allowed use of scribe as per Para- 9.2

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.

Candidates are allowed to bring their own Slide–Rule, Calculator, Logarithm Tables and Steam Table for Paper-II only. They are not allowed to use such aids for Paper-I.

Application Fee:

  • Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only)

Fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, SBI Challan/ Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card.

Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with disability (PwD) and Ex-servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
