The 58th Network Planning Group (NPG) Meeting under PM GatiShakti discussed some Infrastructure Projects.
About:
- • Road and Railway projects for multimodal connectivity with a project cost of over Rs. 23,500 Crore were discussed.
- Greenfield rail connectivity projects in Odisha with a total cost of over Rs 4,000 Crores were considered to benefit ports, iron ore traffic, and industrial development.
- Road projects in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Kerala were discussed to promote economic growth in underdeveloped regions.
PM GatiShakti Plan:
- Launched in 2021 for providing multimodal connectivity infrastructure to economic zones.
- Aims to streamline inter-ministerial coordination, breaking silos for faster project implementation.
- A transformative approach for economic growth, infrastructure development, and timely project completion.
